چکیده

Background: The aim of this study was to introduce a new radiological classification that could be normally used in clinical practice assess the relationship between an impacted third molar and mandibular canal on cone beam CT (CBCT) images.
Material Methods: teeth canal, distance inferior alveolar buccal-apical-lingual position relative tooth, presence contact were evaluated according classification. According these criteria, total eight classifications two subtypes , class A B, made. CBCT images 50 patients independently studied all possible relationships IAN cross-sectional SPSS software version 24.0 for statistical analysis. Results: For lower left (38), it found most common 1A (48,6%) gender-free examination. (48) right mandibula, (45%) regardless gender. Conclusion: use valid support obtain language among operators order define

Panoramic Radiograph and cone beam computed tomography- evaluation of Mandibular impacted third molar and Mandibular canal

Methods: The sample consisted of 20 subjects (20 left and 20 right mandibular third molars) who underwent pre-operative radiographic evaluation before extraction of impacted mandibular third molars. On panoramic radiographs, the most common high risk injury signs of inferior alveolar nerve (darkening of roots, interruption of white line, deviation of mandibular canal, narrowing of mandibular ca...

Evaluation of the relationship between mandibular third molar and mandibular canal by different algorithms of cone-beam computed tomography.

OBJECTIVES Exact location of the inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) bundle is very important. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the mandibular third molar and the mandibular canal by cone-beam computed tomography. STUDY DESIGN This was a cross-sectional study with convenience sampling. 94 mandibular CBCTs performed with CSANEX 3D machine (Soredex, Finland) and 3D system...

Evaluation of mandibular premolars root canal morphology by cone beam computed tomography

Introduction: To achieve a successful endodontic treatment, the clinician has to identify the different canal configurations.mandibular premolars have the wide variety of root canal morphology and they are known as the most difficult teeth to treat in endodontics.CBCT  provides a non-invasive 3D confirmatory diagnosis as a complement to conventional radiography. The aim of this study was to...

Evaluation of the relationship between crown size and root canal morphology of mandibular incisors by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT)

BACKGROUND The main reason for the failure of endodontic therapy is the incomplete knowledge about the anatomical variation of root canals. One of the most important factors that leads to the failure of root canal treatment, is missed and untreated major root canals. OBJECTIVE with respect to the complexity of mandibular incisors treatment and high prevalence of the second canal, and the poss...
